Privacy notice

This notice explains what personal information the VayraAstra website collects, why, where it goes and what you can ask us to do with it. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Who we are

VayraAstra has not launched yet. This website is a preview with a waitlist and a co-design studio. Nothing is sold through it.

The waitlist

What we collect. When you join the waitlist we receive:

• your email address (required);
• your name, if you choose to enter it;
• your answer to the consent checkbox.

The form also has a hidden field that should stay empty. It helps us filter out automated spam.

Why. We use your email address to send you updates about the VayraAstra Diwali 2026 preview, our launch and new collections. We only email you if you tick the consent box, which is your express consent under CASL. We do not sell or rent your information.

Where it is stored. Waitlist sign-ups are collected and stored by Netlify Forms. Netlify, Inc. is our website host and a service provider based in the United States.

How long we keep it. We keep each waitlist sign-up for 150 days from the day you join, then delete it. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information sooner, we remove it sooner.

Unsubscribing. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or write to hello@vayraco.com and we will remove you from the list.

The co-design studio

The co-design studio on our home page helps you sketch a design brief, such as the piece, metal, approximate gold weight, budget and occasion.

• Where your messages go. When you use the live studio, the messages you type and your current brief are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, PBC, in the United States, to generate replies. The provider processes this data under its commercial API terms and, under our account settings, keeps it for up to 365 days.
• Please don't type personal details. Do not enter your name, phone number, address, email or payment details in the studio. It does not need them.
• No transcripts on our servers. We do not store chat transcripts on our servers. Our server logs record technical status information, such as whether a request succeeded, not what you wrote.
• Replies can be wrong. The studio's replies are generated by AI and may contain mistakes. Any price shown on the page is an illustrative estimate, not a quote. A human consultant confirms every design, price and detail before anything is made.

If you choose to send your brief to us with the WhatsApp or email buttons, the section below applies.

Briefs saved on your device

If you tap Save this brief in the co-design studio, the brief is stored in your browser's local storage on that device: the piece, metal, gold weight and budget, plus the occasion, region, direction and notes if you used the live studio, and the date you saved it. Saving sends nothing anywhere, and we cannot see it.

• How long it stays. We keep up to six saved briefs; saving a seventh replaces the oldest. A brief stays until you delete it in the studio or clear this site's data in your browser. Some browsers also clear this storage on their own after a period without visits.
• When it leaves your device. If you load a saved brief and then use the live studio, it becomes your current brief and is sent to our AI provider as described above. It reaches VayraAstra only if you choose to send it by WhatsApp or email.

WhatsApp and email

If you contact us on WhatsApp or by email, we receive what you send, including your phone number or email address and anything in your message. We use it to reply to you and to discuss your design. WhatsApp messages are also handled by WhatsApp under its own terms.

Website technical data

Like any website, our host (Netlify) receives standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and to limit abuse. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser also connects to Google's servers. This site does not use analytics, advertising trackers or cookies of its own. The only thing it stores on your device is any brief you choose to save.

Processing outside Canada

Our service providers, including Netlify and Anthropic, may process and store your information outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there, it may be subject to the laws of that country, including lawful access by its authorities.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you access to it;
• correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• withdraw your consent, for example to stop receiving our emails.

Write to hello@vayraco.com. We will respond within 30 days, as PIPEDA requires.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page if our practices change, and change the date at the top.
